The TransNexus Operations and Billing Support System (OSS/BSS) has been optimized for integration with VoIP networks managed by Cisco gatekeepers. The solution is simple to operate and enables rapid response to dynamic carrier market conditions. TransNexus guarantees to increase the profitability of your Cisco H.323 network with the following benefits:
- Web-based user interface provides operators with easy to use screens for managing complex routing / number translation plans and monitoring quality of service.
- Dynamic Least Cost Routing automates route provisioning and optimizes gross margin.
- Dynamic Quality of Service (QoS) routing improves network performance and eliminates the need for staff to manually adjust route plans.
- Strong security and automated fraud and credit controls eliminate bad debt risks.
Solution Description
The TransNexus OSS/BSS solution includes Cisco’s proprietary GKTMP protocol for direct management of Cisco gatekeepers. Installation and configuration is simple – register the NexSRS route servers with each Cisco gatekeeper and immediately the gatekeepers use the TransNexus solution for call routing, number translation, access control and call detail record reporting. NexOSS provides centralized and easy to use applications for route provisioning, traffic analysis, QoS management, settlement billing and credit control.
Multiple NexSRS route servers may be registered with multiple gatekeepers to create a highly reliable system with no single point of failure. The diagram below illustrates a typical network architecture where NexOSS Route Provisioning is used to manage multiple zones and interconnection with external networks.
Highly scalable, the NexSRS server provides routing for intra-domain calls and inter-domain calls, allowing directory gatekeepers to be redeployed as zone gatekeepers. The NexSRS manages LRQ communications with external gatekeepers for inter-domain calls with partner networks. Digitally signed inter-domain tokens may be used for added access control security between VoIP clearinghouses. The NexSRS server can also provide routing and access control for calls with partner gateways that are not registered with a gatekeeper.
Call detail records are streamed to NexSRS directly from each gatekeeper eliminating the need to configure each gateway to report RADIUS call detail records to a separate RADIUS server. Simplified management of routing, access control and call accounting combined with profit optimizing features such as least cost routing, QoS routing and automated credit controls guarantee to increase your profits.
