一个正在运行domino server r5.x的用户，他需要捕获一个关于收到的smtp消息（smtp inbound message)的信息以进行分析。那么，如何做呢？
在r5服务器上捕获一个关于收到的smtp消息需要设置服务器的notes.ini的参数，并重新启动smtp监听任务，以使其生效。之后，所生成的文件将会被保存到一个单独的为服务器指定的tmp目录（即操作系统在环境变量中所定义的tmp的目录，如windows的操作系统中缺省定义的tmp目录为c:\winnt\temp。请参看下图所示)，文件的名字是stxxxxxx.tmp（其中，xxxxxx是6个数字）。这些文件的内容是此信息的信头和mime的信息。
具体的设置方法有两个，用其中一个即可。
1。在远程控制台上，输入命令：
set config smtpsaveimporterrors=2
2。打开服务器的notes.ini文件，加入下列参数到此文件中：
smtpsaveimporterrors=2
